Puzzle book for all ages which takes the reader on an adventure through the animal kingdom. based on the biblical story, noah’s ark, and accompanied by 16 details from a major work of art by the author/illustrator which depicts 707 creatures: 353 are painted with their mates but a single creature is depicted alone. the challenge is to find that creature and also the 16 snails which appear in each plate. cryptic clues are given in the text and each painting is followed by pages of zoological information about the creatures presented. the author/illustrator has published six books to date including ‘pile’ and the classic puzzle book ‘the ultimate alphabet’. his original paintings and drawings have been acquired by the museum of modern art in new york and the victoria and albert museum in london. created in the uk by michael joseph (1993).
